Angels and Demons

Angel of Vengeance has only been up on Smashwords a few days, and already it's found another enthusiastic fan. There seems to be something about the creepy, sarcastic little demon Bosch that people find appealing, and he's certainly been one of our most popular characters to date.

We'd been wondering whether or not to run with a sequel given the very open-ended conclusion of the first book. But such encouragement is almost impossible to ignore, so once we've gathered together all the sketchy notes and ideas that are floating around, we'll see what we can do get another title in the supernatural series out there.

Short novels and even short stories of under 10,000 words seem fairly common on Smashwords (not so sure about Amazon KDP, since they don't usually bother to provide word or page counts) and we already have another short-ish piece in production - more details on that later. It'll be interesting to find out if there is a future in quick, decent little stories. Malaria 9 has already proved that a decent full-length novel need not take years, and so the FWB catalogue may be set to expand considerably in the near future.

The other advantage is that should a book fail to take off with readers, then it hasn't required a colossal investment in time and effort, with correspondingly big disappointment at the end of it all. So far, the expansion on to the Smashwords platform is looking like a good move.

Guest Post Submission Guidelines

We're very happy to accept guest posts. The only requirements we have for guest posts on Fenriswulf Books' blog pages are:

1) on-topic posts only: i.e., articles relevant, and of interest, specifically to writers (especially self-published or indie authors) - ideally regarding the creative processes of producing fiction, editing, character, plotting, e-publishing, observations and opinions on the publishing industry generally, experiences of Kindle/Smashwords/Apple, traditional publishing, self-promo and marketing advice for authors (but see *2* below), inspiration & 'writers' block', cartoons/comic books, illustration & design, or creativity in general;

2) absolutely no promotion or reviews of third-party products or services: the only exceptions being other self-pubbed or indie writers that you may be enthusiastic about, or charitable websites or totally free resources online or elsewhere devoted to helping other writers, e.g via interviews, book giveaways, etc. This includes hyperlinks and images. Author book review sites are acceptable as long as they offer free reviews (whether alongside paid-for reviews or not).

3) if in doubt, just ask.

Other than that, feel free to drop us a brief summary of possible posts and we'll let you know by return.
